Also authorized are the Balearic and Canary Islands (Spain), Corsica (France), Sardinia & Sicily (Italy), Madeira & the Azores (Portugal).
Insurance also covers the countries listed below. However, it is your responsibility to check with local authorities if you have the right to drive a TT-registered vehicle in these countries:
Andorra, Bosnia-Herzegovia, Gibraltar, Island, Liechtensetin, Macedonia, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and Vatican.
The list of countries defined above is based on the customs and tax agreements in force allowing residents of these countries to benefit from certain facilities for the temporary admission of vehicles under the Temporary Transit regime.
However, specific restrictions may apply depending on the customs status of the country concerned.
- Portugal: If the customer wishes to have their vehicle delivered AND returned to Portugal (Porto/Lisbon), the stay will be limited to a maximum of 90 days.
- Switzerland: If the customer wishes to have their vehicle delivered AND returned in Switzerland, the stay will be limited to 6 months. Please note that Swiss nationals are not allowed to drive a TT vehicle in Switzerland (but they are allowed to do so in other EU countries).
