Useful information - new car rental in Europe

How can you reserve a new vehicle for your European trip? How can you change or cancel an existing contract? Here is important information about your Renault new rental car contract with the buy-back option.

Vehicle reservation

Reserve your new car in three easy steps:

  1. Register your city of arrival, the dates of your stay and the return city in the reservation module;
  2. Choose the vehicle that best suits you among the proposed selection options;
  3. Click "Reserve", fill-out the form fields and select your payment method.

Changes - Conditions in force for any new reservation from June 3, 2021.

  • 21 days or less before the delivery date if the car is not registered:
    • Name change: $225
    • Delivery place: $450
  • 21 days or less before the delivery date if the car is registered:
    • Please refer to the canacellation policy.

It is more difficult to respond to late changes during the peak season. Modification is subject to acceptance by Renault Eurodrive according to the delays and the availability of the cars.

Be careful: It is very important to respect the scheduled appointment time for taking possession of your vehicle. Failure to do so could result in additional fees on-site. In the case of flight connection changes or changes in the meeting time initially determined, please advise your delivery agent. During your stay in Europe, you may contact Renault Eurodrive directly for any return changes.

Delayed delivery

If you need to delay the delivery of your vehicle and it is already registered (plated), Renault Canada is required to extend the insurance contract. Fees for these modifications may apply.

Death, illness or serious accident of contract holder or immediate family member

Reduced fees may apply when supporting documents signed by a qualified medical authority are presented. Contact us.

Cancelling a contract 

Conditions in force for any new reservation from September 2nd to October 31, 2021 for deliveries up to December 31, 2021.

  • 1 day or more prior to the delivery date :
    • Choice 1 : $250 administration fees from Renault Canada will apply and the balance of the paid amount will be refunded.
    • Choice 2 : No administration fees from Renault Canada will apply and a credit equivalent to the paid amount will be carried over to a new reservation for an indefinite period. Credit will be issued in the name of the original driver.   
  • The day of delivery or no-show : no refund.

Conditions in force for any delivery in 2022 and for any new booking from November 1st, 2021 for deliveries in 2021.

  • 22 days or more prior to the delivery date :
    • Choice 1 : Administrative fee of $250 (Renault Canada) + €50 (Renault Eurodrive France - Charged in $CAD at the daily exchange rate). The balance of the amount paid on file will be refundable.
    • Choice 2 : Administrative fee of €50 (Renault Eurodrive France - Charged in $CAD at the exchange rate of the day). A credit equivalent to the paid amount on file will be carried over to a new reservation for an indefinite period. Credit will be issued in the name of the original driver.  
  • 21 days or less prior to the delivery date :
    • Choice 1 : Administrative fees of $250 (Renault Canada) + € 800 (Renault Eurodrive France - Charged in $CAD at the daily exchange rate). The balance of the paid amount on file will be refundable. No refund if the total on file is less than these two combined amounts.
    • Choice 2 : Administrative fees of €400 (Renault Eurodrive France - Charged in $CAD at the daily exchange rate). A credit equivalent to the balance of the paid amount on file will be carried over to a new reservation for an indefinite period. Credit will be issued in the name of the original driver.
  • The day of delivery or no-show : no refund.

 

Extend your contract

You must notify Renault Eurodrive directly if you wish to extend your journey. Renault Eurodrive will take care of extending your insurance contract according to the number of additional days. An extension fee will be charged to you, directly by Renault Eurodrive.
